Mhasla :- (Naresh Patil) The closing ceremony programme of the 250th Birth Anniversary of St. Magdalena of Canossa the founder of Canossian Congregation was Concluded by the said community. To it Sr's residing in Mhasla had held it on 2 nd of October, 2024 late in the evenings at Canossa residence in Ghansar complex. The event began with the celebrations of Thanksgiving Mass, followed with reading to the contribution works of Magdalena of Canossa that was read by Superior Sr. Aveline, some entertainment games and Gala dinner. At this joyous moment other Congregation Sr's from Holy Spirit and Vedruna too were present. Meanwhile Canossian Congregation brought up DP boy from Belgaum Mr. Naresh Patil who stays in Mangaon city an adjourning to Mhasla town too was present as a special invitee. Pillar Father, Fr. Francisco Rodrigues celebrated the holy mass and during it he gave beautiful sermon of Mother Mary's Seven Sorrowful examples. Prior to it Superior Sr. Aveline Mendes read a brief work on Canossian Congregation St. Magdalena Of Canossa and her contribution works to the poorest of people.
After the holy consecration service some entertainment programmes were held and winners were acknowledged with St. Magdalena Canossa's gifts by the auspicious hands of superior Sr. Mendes. Here it is much keen to see that in the first game the 1St prize was bagged by Canossian boy Mr. Naresh Patil who merrily was anxious to learn in being the winner and collected his prize. In the other games two contestants bagged 1St prize that were later shared and after this Mr. Naresh Patil spoke some few words sharing the Canossian Congregation's work and his well being doing today because of Canossian Congregation Sr's hard work and after this the event ended with the cutting of cake and gala dinner. Meanwhile SVD Father Fr. Mathew from Mangaon Parish too joined the celebrations and witnessed rhe event of closing ceremony of St. Magdalena of Canossa. Intrestingly it is to learn that the opening ceremony of St. Magdalena of Canossa's 250th Birth anniversary had taken place in Mangaon's SVD Parish last year on 03 rd of March, 2024 in the presence of large gathering.To make this occasion a successful one the Mhasla house Canossian Congregation community Sr. Jovina and Novice Shilpa contributed their hard work.
